The High Man

The man with his long braided hair reminds me of Bob Marley. His attire looks messy but it somehow appears appropriate for him. He has a tattoo all over his left hand. He is a Malay.

Standing there on the stage, he took one long last puff of his cigarette (which I believe it contains more than just tobacco in there) till it lefts so thin that one can hardly notice it when he threw it to the ground. People were cheering after a brief introduction about him by the emcee.

With the noise all over the place, he took the microphone and recited the most poetic, patriotic and majestic words I ever heard. It felt such way because the entire people in the stadium, an estimate 5000 people that time, echoed his words every lines. Such Unity, such support, such belief... only a person that ‘high’ can capture the hearts of the masses.

Now I understand why Bob Marley had the capability to influence the people of Jamaica.
