Carpe Diem

They whisper slowly in the dark,
telling all of us the same,
pledge the motto of thy lark,
living carpe diem by the name.
Eat and drink for tomorrow we die,
live towards the epistemic delight,
trusting thy guard as we all lie,
forever carpe diem I will might.
Hear and see those glistering hope,
taste and feel that dividing soul,
it guides away the rising slope,
as you carpe diem till the day we extol.
