Skin and Bones

I went to tower records today right after my exam. I can't wait any longer already. I told mself i just gotta get it. While i was doing my exam (it was a 3 hour paper), i was tempted to finish it faster and get out from there. The song was playing in my head.... non stop.... just playing, with the pure acoustic sound of the guitar mesmerizing me in the exam hall, i started tapping my leg, then my finger and then i started humming and whispering the song AND THEN I BURST INTO SINGING and the everybody started to join in....

You wish... the last part of the "burst into singing" and "everybody started to join in" was a bull. I bought myself an ORIGINAL (you hear that? Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna?) LIVE performance DVD by the FOO FIGHTERS.

It's just different to hear a Hard Rock band play in a very subtle and a softer manner. The difference is... IT's GOOD. Old songs played in acoustic style bring a refreshing point of view and taste. It's like a new song entirely - a new FOO FIGHTERS.

Good songs to check out in this LIVE album are Razor, Marigold, My Hero, Skin and Bones, Times Like These, Best of You and Everlong. Perhaps you may say that you had heard all the songs that was just mentioned BUT i assure you that it's better than before. An old song with a different and better packaging some would say. A LIVE performance or album are always a test to see whether a band can survive or play without the assistant of studio support and edit. This album proves that FOO FIGHTERS -(by the way,Usually, Rock Bands are constantly stereotype as Loud, Messy and disorganize in noise projection) CAN play a properly and nicely done and presented as well. I consider them as one of the pioneers of Rock and Roll... Keep on Rolling!!!!!
