A Place to Hang Out...

I like to hang out around here:

Western Christian Cemetery

It's a nice place seriously. Quiet and peaceful... no body disturb you, with the birds singing and the blowing of the gentle wind... it just make the phrase "REST IN PEACE" more meaningful and literal. I first came here when i was standard one (7 years old) because my Godmother passed away and her cremate was put here. A very close relative show me around and told me that every tomb stone here has a true story to tell. Life is the beginning and Death is end of a book. Our life is a story, every year of our life is a chapter and everybody we know is the character. Our life is a story which will impact people who read it. As I walk around the cemetery, ithought to myself, their death is not the end... yes, they were finished but their testimonies still live on.

One of the many reasons why i like this particular christian cemetery is because of the unique tombstone. It's very nice. Although some might look very Gothic... like the one on the left, what makes it so unique is because the tombstone is covered with time... moss covering it bring out the sense of ancientness and richness of experience. It has alot of stories to tell, all the way back from 1880 till now. The older the grave / tombstone, the more beautiful and nicer it become. I've found some of the tombstone's design to be very nice - appealing. I feel like getting one of my own. It's like shopping for tombstone and a grave as i walk around the place. But the only problem is that i'm not allowed to try like how we try on some cloths in the fitting room. it's just not right to try it there. I like one of the grave over there (picture on the right). It an engravement of a cross. it looks like a grave for a warrior. A knight. A crusader for God. hmmm... but i guess the artist who carved this tombstone is not around anymore. Furthermore, this nice tombstone will definitely cost a BOMB!
